20 days until launch!! Wow! I am in a state of feeling excited, nervous, scared, and so many other emotions. I am still purchasing clothing and other items for the race and today I got vaccines. I realize that I don't have all the time in the world, which has been stressful for me. In my time of anxiousness, I reflect on this quote derived from a few different bible verses.

"From one who is only here temporarily, wrestling, struggling with, and talking to himself. Why are you sunk down in despair, O my soul? Wanting to run with endurance the race set out before me, complete the course and finish the race well. 'Christians are not always victorious in all of their earthly struggles, but the good news is that ultimate salvation and defeat in battle are not irreconcilable aspects of God’s reign.' '…you who are protected by the power of God…even though now for a little while…you have been distressed by various trials.'"

Knowing that I am not alone and that God is with me has brought me the most comfort. I plan to spend the rest of my time before leaving with my family and close friends as I prepare for the journey God has set out for me.
